E-book launching and opening ceremony of the solo panoramic images exhibition “Stand Up Dhaka” by artist Bashir Ahmed Sujan, organised by Duniyadari Archive will be held on Friday (13 Might) at La Gallerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka, Dhanmondi.
Bangladesh Countrywide Museum Director Standard Khondoker Mostafizur Rahman will grace the occasion as the main visitor, stated a press launch.
Eminent Photographer Nasir Ali Mamun will go to the event as specific guest. Francois Grosjean, director, Alliance Française de Dhaka and Architect Nurur Rahman Khan will also show up at the celebration as the visitor of honour.
“Stand Up, Dhaka” takes a refreshing strategy in exhibition and e-book-earning in phrases of format and gallery style and design. This is the initial exhibition of vertical panoramic images in Bangladesh. The pictures have been introduced in the gallery in a distinctive approach.
The customized made and nearly human scale photos resembles the cityscapes of Dhaka. The photographer begun operating on the project back in 2006. The photographs in the exhibition and the e book has photos until 2015 with few photographs from the Covid-19 lockdown. Amirul Rajiv and Naim Ul Hasan is the curator of the exhibition and the editor of the e book, the press release extra.
Bashir Ahmed Sujan is a Bangladeshi photographer dependent in Dhaka. He is a member of Map Photograph Agency and labored for different countrywide and worldwide companies for more than two a long time. His previous publications are ‘An Unfamiliar Dusk’ (2007), ‘The Crochet Village’ (2010) and ‘Britto’ a collaboration with Map photographers (2003).
The exhibition will be open from Friday, 13 May well to Saturday, 21 May well. Browsing hrs are Monday via Saturday from 3pm to 9pm.
