From ball pits to a picnic-themed scene, a selfie photography studio is opening in Milwaukee

From painting to decorating, a neighborhood spouse and wife put in the earlier two and a half months producing a selfie pictures studio in Milwaukee.

Selfie Hop, 2410 N. Farwell Ave., attributes 20 image ops, from ball pits to a picnic-themed scene, in a 2,500-square-foot place. 

“I really like getting selfies, I like taking pictures, and I’m generally publishing on Snapchat,” claimed Alison White, who owns Selfie Hop with her spouse, Abdelrahman Farag. “This is going to be a good deal of fun for me and my kids to do.”

There are 11 themed a few-wall “photograph booths,” White reported, like: 

  • A turquoise piano with a polka dot wall

  • Confetti to toss with a yellow background

The wall heading up to the 2nd amount of the area says “I appreciate Milwaukee” and the measures are rainbow-coloured. 

The studio is not at the moment ADA available, White mentioned, but mentioned the house owners are working towards building it that way.

About 3 yrs back, White visited a Winky Lux cosmetics store in Chicago with her two daughters, a mate and her friend’s boy or girl. Toward the back of the small business, there was a handful of themed image booths, she stated. 

“I took a entire bunch of shots with my little ones and it was so considerably fun,” mentioned White, who’s also a kindergarten instructor at Salam Faculty. “I have just been sort of waiting around for a thing like this to pop up in Milwaukee.”

Selfie Hop will be making its debut at 2 p.m. June 3. Its normal several hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. 

Each individual Selfie Hop picture op has a ring gentle tripod with Bluetooth controllers out there. The area is lit with LED lights. Friends are welcome to bring in professional cameras in addition to phones.
