Just in time for Satisfaction, Diesel has partnered with the Tom of Finland Basis on a multi-section job. This includes a two-instalment art present (concerning Venice, Italy and Paris, France) termed “AllTogether” curated by Tom of Finland Foundation and The Neighborhood.
“Given that the ’90s, Diesel’s advertisement strategies have set a unique tone of voice, serving as an antidote to the standing quo, normalizing taboos, flipping the script on tales of social injustices, minorities, absurd in society.” With that in head, Glenn Martens wishes Diesel to act extra as a platform and amplify further, authentic, and wonderful tales that can make a difference in the planet we stay in right now.
“We want to provide gentle to a very long legacy of queer creativity and perseverance around the globe. Tales of artists which many have confronted discrimination and misrepresentation due to the nature of who they are and what they produce. This is the Tom of Finland Foundation’s initial these types of exhibition of its variety exterior of Tom Household in Los Angeles, and it has been fully and proudly underwritten by Diesel.” – said Glenn
To give more visibility to this legacy, the designer made a unique Pleasure 2022 capsule selection with the artwork of some of the same artists of the exhibition that have been curated by the Foundation. The capsule has been lensed by Spyros Rennt, showcasing Berlin, Germany’s queer scene—which, just 70 decades ago, was even now persecuted. This struggle is nonetheless to be fought in so many areas of our environment.
